Liverpool reportedly agree deal with 26-year-old Porto man.

Liverpool have agreed to pay the £45 million fee necessary to sign Porto attacker Yacine Brahimi, according to A Bola.
The Reds had been heavily linked with Bayern Munich man Mario Gotze, before the German commented that he’d be staying at the Allianz Arena (the Liverpool Echo).
Consequently, manager Jurgen Klopp has been forced to explore other avenues, leading him to the 26-year-old Algerian ace.

Now, A Bola reports that Klopp is “very close” to tying up a deal for the midfielder, whose buyout clause is in the region of £45 million, as suggested by the Portuguese outlet.
Should the transfer materialise, it would make him Liverpool’s most expensive ever signing, eclipsing Andy Carroll at £35 million in 2011.
Brahimi has netted 10 goals and set up another 11 for the Portuguese giants this season.

Even if it happens, Klopp still might want to add a playmaker to his ranks, even though Brahimi’s prospective arrival may allow somebody else at Liverpool to take up the number 10 role.
He is contracted to Porto until 2019.
