Glasgow Rangers fans react on Twitter to Rob Kiernan's performance in the Scottish Cup final

Mark Warburton's Glasgow Rangers side were beaten 3-2 by Hibernian in the Scottish Cup final yesterday.

Glasgow Rangers supporters have criticised Rob Kiernan’s performance in the Scottish Cup final against Hibernian yesterday.

Rangers were beaten 3-2 by Hibs at Hampden Park, and their defensive performance in the contest was awful.

The Light Blues’ were exposed at the back on numerous occasions, and Kiernan has taken the brunt of supporters' criticism.

His role in allowing Anthony Stokes to score the first has received particular criticism.

Stokes cut in from the left, and he was left completely unopposed, as he curled the ball in at the far post to open the scoring.

Rangers fans are now suggesting that Kiernan may need to be replaced in the summer, as Mark Warburton’s side prepare for life in the Scottish Premiership.

The Ibrox side realise that there is plenty of work to be done, if they are to compete for the title in the top tier, and the fear is that Kiernan will not make the grade.

Despite their defeat to Hibs yesterday, Rangers still won the double this past season and can reflect on the campaign with a great deal of pride.
