Mirco Antenucci is leaving Leeds United, but seemingly has plenty of options

Plenty of teams in Italy have been linked with the Leeds United striker.

Leeds United striker Mirco Antenucci will be on his way out of the club this summer. The Italian is out of contract in the summer and will not be offered a new deal to remain at Elland Road.

However, Antenucci will not be short of options if the rumour mill is something to go by.

Yesterday saw the Leeds striker linked with three more Italian club.

Hellas1903 report Il Mattino as claiming that recently relegated Serie A side Hellas Verona are keen on the player – as are promotion hopefuls Pescara and mid-table Avellino of Serie B.

But who else has been linked with the Leeds striker?

Sky Italia reported two weeks ago that fallen giants Parma have Antenucci on their transfer wishlist for their return to Italy’s third-tier next season.

Then came the interest of Benevento. TuttoMercatoWeb reported that the recently promoted to Serie B side were also keen on the player.

In March it was reported that Ascoli were interested in signing both Antenucci and fellow Leeds Italian Giuseppe Bellusci by Corriere Adriatico.

Novara, also in Serie B, were also credited with an interest – with their president confirming interest in the player to Sporterni.

Meanwhile CalcioMercato reported that Reggina were keen on the player as well in the past six months.

So whilst Antenucci is on his way out of Leeds, he clearly has caught the eye during his time in Yorkshire.
