Manchester United have reportedly offered a deal to Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
According to French radio station RMC Sport, Manchester United have submitted an offer to Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Red Devils have splashed the cash on big name signings over the last two years, but huge moves for Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao and Bastian Schweinsteiger haven’t paid off.
Now though, it seems that they are willing to spend big on another world-class player, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic believed to be the object of their desires this summer.
Ibrahimovic, 34, has established himself as one of the world’s top strikers during a stunning career – and his next stop could be Old Trafford as he looks for a new club this summer.
French radio station RMC Sport report that United have now made an offer to Ibrahimovic, and are willing to match his stunning contract from his time at Paris Saint-Germain, with Los Angeles Galaxy dropping out of the race for his signature.
The Swedish legend will become a free agent this summer having decided it was time to leave PSG, where he has smashed 154 in 179 games over a four-year spell in the French capital.
He could end up at United though, as the report suggests that the Red Devils have offered a one-year contract to Ibrahimovic with the option of a second year, and are willing to match his €15m (£11.8m) salary at PSG, meaning he would earn around £225,000-a-week at Old Trafford.
An incredible striker who can do it all, Ibrahimovic would be a major commercial boost for United, but whether paying so much money to a player the wrong side of 30 is a good idea remains to be seen.
