Leeds fans react on Twitter to Jordan Botaka's performance, comment on Evans' future

Leeds United lost 2-1 at home to Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds United's unbeaten run ended at four games on Saturday afternoon, as they lost 2-1 at home to already-relegated Charlton Athletic.

The Whites had notched three wins in a row before a 2-2 draw away at promotion-chasing Hull City last weekend, but they slipped to a shock home defeat to Charlton on Saturday.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Ademola Lookman scored either side of half time to put the Addicks 2-0 up at Elland Road, and whilst defender Sol Bamba did pull one back for Leeds, Steve Evans' men couldn't find an equaliser in the final 20 minutes.

It was a disappointing afternoon for Leeds, and winger Jordan Botaka may feel that he didn't quite make the most of his chance in the starting line-up.

The DR Congo international has been a bit-part player since his summer move from Excelsior, but having caught the eye as a substitute against Hull last weekend, he was handed a starting role against Charlton.

Unfortunately, the wide man didn't have much success against Charlton, and fans were left to wonder what his role will be next season, with some suggesting that he will end up being an impact player only, though others felt he was one of the brighter players on the pitch.

Fans also took to Twitter to discuss the future of manager Evans, who is out of contract at the end of the season - and supporters largely believe he should be given the chance to prove himself over the course of a full season, rather than have trigger-happy chairman Massimo Cellino change manager yet again.

Here are some of the reactions from Leeds fans on Twitter after the performance of Botaka, and their comments on manager Evans...

What did you think of Botaka's performance against Charlton? Do you think Leeds should keep Evans?
