A busy summer lies in wait for Rangers. Here's the situation at present...
Rangers are back in the big time and manager Mark Warburton has been fairly candid about his summer transfer plans.
As it stands, the Light Blues have four first-team players out of contract with three loan deals also expiring, and Warburton said earlier this month he is looking to bring in a similar number of new faces - on top of the two who've already arrived from Accrington.
Out of contract: Nicky Law, Nicky Clark, David Templeton, Dean Shiels, Luca Gasporatto,
Expiring loan deals: Billy King, Gedion Zelalem, Dominic Ball.
Pre-contracts: Josh Windass, Matt Crooks.
Loan returns: Liam Kelly, Andy Murdoch, Robbie Crawford, Ryan Hardie, Jordan Thompson, Tom Walsh.
Goalkeepers: Wes Foderingham, Cammy Bell, Liam Kelly.
Defenders: James Tavernier, Danny Wilson, Rob Kiernan, Lee Wallace.
Midfielders: Matt Crooks, Jack Windass, Jason Holt, Liam Burt, Harry Forrester, Andrew Halliday, Robbie Crawford, Andy Murdoch, Jordan Thompson.
Forwards: Kenny Miller, Martyn Waghorn, Michael O'Halloran, Barrie McKay, Ryan Hardie, Tom Walsh.
Areas in need of attention:
Pretty much everywhere. Tottenham's Ball could return but even so, at least one more centre-half is required. An experienced body in the centre of the park would be most welcome, as would another wide option. And while a new striker is perhaps not essential, the Gers are unlikely to resist if the player in question is a definite improvement. Cover at full-back would not go amiss.
