The forward is currently on loan at Roma from Serie B side Spezia.

Tottenham and Liverpool have reportedly joined the race to sign 19-year-old striker Umar Sadiq, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nigerian is contracted to Serie B side Spezia but is currently on loan in the league above with Roma. And despite showing glimpses of real quality in the top flight, Gazzetta reports that the Italian heavyweights plan to sign the forward permanently for around £2m before letting him leave immediately in an attempt to make a quick profit, with the report suggesting that they would be looking for around £9.6m.

Gazzetta hints that the Premier League may well be where Sadiq’s future lies with the title contenders and the Reds monitoring his situation in anticipation of a summer move.

However, they may have to see off competition from Ligue 1 side Lyon, who Gazzetta claim are also interested in the youngster.
