Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Daniel Didavi confirms he has agreed Wolfsburg transfer

The German midfielder is out of contract in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the signature of VfB Stuttgart attacker Daniel Didavi.

Didavi is out of contract in the summer and it has been reported that Spurs were in the frame to bring him in on a Bosman deal at the end of the current campaign.

Welt Fussball reported that Spurs were indeed looking to bring in the player on a Bosman deal, but that Stuttgart wanted to sell him this month.

The talented 25-year-old has been in good form in the Bundesliga this season and is seen as an archetypal Mauricio Pochettino signing.

But it is now clear that Spurs will not be signing the German attacking midfielder.

He has revealed today that he will be heading to VfL Wolfsburg in the summer instead.

He told a press conference today, as reported by Deutsche Welle, about his decision to head to the Volswagen Arena in the summer:

"It was a very difficult decision for me.

"I was uncomfortable with the situation. I'm happy that we have communicated my decision. But the season is not yet done. I want to show in the next few games the 'Dida' that people know."

Spurs fans will surely be disappointed to hear that Didavi is on his way to a different club.

He would have fitted in perfectly at Spurs under the guidance of Pochettino but it appears that he is hopeful of challenging for silverware in his homeland.
