Report: Arsenal eye Marseille youngster Bilal Boutobba

Arsene Wenger is reportedly 'infatuated' but faces competition from Sevilla.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is eyeing a move for Marseille youngster Bilal Boutobba, reports Estadio Deportivo.

The French youngster has become one of the hottest prospects in Marseille’s youth setup over the last few years.

He has already made his first team debut for the French side, coming on in a defeat to Monaco in December 2014 to become the club’s youngest ever player at just 16-years-old.

Since then though he has found first team football hard to come by, especially since Michel replaced Marco Bielsa at the club, and recently rejected professional terms with them.

As a result Arsenal are keen to add him to their youth ranks with Estadio Deportivo adding that Wenger has became ‘infatuated’ by the young talent.

A move to the Emirates looks extremely likely as well; with CalcioMercato claiming the youngster fancies either Juventus or Arsenal as his next destination.

They face competition for his signature though as several European sides monitor his situation.

The most prominent of those are Europa League champions Sevilla, with the player having already visited the city last Christmas.
