Bixente Lizarazu has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his admiration of the performances of Dimitri Payet and Olivier Giroud for France against the Netherlands.
Lizarazu, who won the 1998 World Cup and the Euro 2000 finals with France, was impressed with the duo’s displays.
The retired left-back described Payet's performance as "determined, inspired and brilliant" on Twitter, and about Giroud, the Frenchman wrote that he "enhances the collective because everyone plays well around him".

Payet has been one of the best players in the Premier League so far this season, and he did well on his return to the France set-up.
The former Marseille attacking midfielder was involved in France’s winning goal against the Netherlands and also hit the post.
Giroud, who has scored 12 goals and created 25 chances in 30 Premier League appearances for Arsenal this campaign, found the target against the Oranje in the 13th minute.
Payet has scored eight goals and created 84 chances in 23 Premier League matches for West Ham so far this campaign.
