Graham Roberts shows his appreciation of Tottenham player after Europa League exit

Graham Roberts was apparently impressed with Toby Alderweireld’s performance against Borussia Dortmund.

Graham Roberts has taken to social networking site Twitter to show his appreciation of Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld.

The former Tottenham defender was apparently impressed with the performance of the centre-back against Borussia Dortmund at White Hart Lane on Thursday evening.

Alderweireld started the Europa League last-16 second-leg tie against Dortmund on Thursday evening and played for the entire 90 minutes.

The 27-year-old Belgium international had a pass accuracy of 83%, attempted one dribble, won 33% of his tackles, and made three interceptions, five clearances and one block.

The former Atletico Madrid star did not have a great game against Dortmund, who won 2-1 to progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League 5-1 on aggregate.

Alderweireld could have probably done better for the stunning effort from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 24th minute.

The former Ajax star has scored three goals and created seven chances in 30 Premier League appearances for Spurs so far this season.
