Jamie Paterson posts balloon on Twitter after Freedman sacking, quickly deletes

Nottingham Forest winger Jamie Paterson, currently on loan at Huddersfield Town, appeared to react with delight on Twitter as Dougie Freedman's sacking was announced.

As soon as the news broke, Paterson posted a tweet featuring a balloon.

He quickly deleted it but fans replied en masse.

Several questioned Paterson's professionalism, while others were excited by the prospect that he could now return and play a big part at the City Ground.

Opinion will no doubt be mixed when it comes to Freedman. Like any Nottingham Forest boss, the manager has received plenty of criticism over the last few months.

But many, of course, feel Freedman was harshly treated by Forest.

His last game in charge saw the Midlands outfit lose 3-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

Here's how a few fans, meanwhile, responded to Paterson's tweet. Was he right to react in the way he did or was he smart to quickly remove the post from Twitter?
