The former Tottenham chairman has responded to transfer rumours about the Liverpool captain on Twitter.
Ex-Tottenham Hotspur chairman Alan Sugar joked that he would ‘plead the fifth’ on Twitter when asked about rumours linking Jordan Henderson with a move from Liverpool to White Hart Lane.
According to the Sun, Tottenham are willing to pay as much as £25 million for the 25-year-old.
And Lord Sugar was in humorous mood when asked about the Liverpool skipper…

@Lord_Sugar what do you think to these ludicrous reports Spurs want to sign Jordan Henderson? I don’t think he’d offer us anything.

It’s a very bizarre rumour indeed. Even if Spurs feel Henderson can offer a lot to their side (many will probably disagree), why would the Liverpool captain leave for the capital and why would the Reds sell their skipper?
Of all the transfer stories that have circulated in 2016 and 2015, this one is right up there with the strangest.
Liverpool are out of action this weekend, being able to enjoy a welcome break ahead of their second leg against Manchester United in the Europa League. United, meanwhile, are in action against West Ham.
Tottenham will face Aston Villa at Villa Park before their second leg against Borussia Dortmund.
