Report: Southampton and Norwich City interested in Derby County teen Kyron Stabana

The 17-year-old has been linked with a move away this summer.

Derby County have a talented youth-team player coming through the ranks in Kyron Stabana. The attacking full-back has become a feature for the under-21s and received his first England call-up back in November.

It is no doubt hoped that in the future he might go on to become a regular in the Derby first-team as a potential academy graduate.

But it now seems that his form and progress has caught the attention of potential Premier League suitors.

TMW are reporting this week that both Norwich City and Southampton are interested in signing the player this summer.

Norwich might struggle to convince him of a move. The Canaries are currently facing a relegation battle and the very real possibility that they could be swapping places with Derby for next season would likely put him off.

Southampton on the other hand look a settled Premier League outfit. Not only that, but they also have a fantastic record in producing top talent and Stabana may feel that he has a better chance of development if he makes the move to the South Coast.

Derby fans will hope that they can secure the long-term future of their talented defender in the months to come.
