Philippe Coutinho called up to Brazil national team, but Liverpool team-mate Roberto Firmino left out

The Brazilian coach Dunga has only called up Coutinho.

The international break is coming up and Brazil have some big games coming up. They take on Uruguay and Paraguay in qualification matches for the 2018 FIFA World Cup later this month and have called up plenty of Premier League talent for the ties.

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has received a call-up and Chelsea pair Willian and Oscar have also got the nod that would have been expected.

Whilst a Liverpool attacking midfielder has also been included?

But which Liverpool star is it? Roberto Firmino or Philippe Coutinho. It is in fact the latter who has received the call-up from Dunga for the upcoming fixtures.

Firmino has had a sketchy season in terms of his form. On his day he has been unbeatable but he has at times struggled to find his best performances on a regular basis.

Coutinho, when fit, has been his usually dependable best.

The dream for the Liverpool pair will of course be to link up regularly for both the Brazilian national team and at Anfield.

Coutinho has not featured for Brazil since September, so this will be a big chance for him. Firmino has also not featured since September and he will be disappointed to be left at home.
