Linda Pizzuti reacts on Twitter to Liverpool win, Jim Beglin explains Sterling booing

The Reds beat Manchester City 3-0 on Wednesday night, somewhat avenging their Capital One Cup final defeat to the same opposition.

Linda Pizzuti Henry needed just two words on Twitter when reacting to Liverpool's 3-0 win over Manchester City.

Indeed, the wife of owner John Henry felt the Reds' comfortable victory at Anfield was 'absolutely delightful' on Wednesday night.

Goals from Adam Lallana, James Milner and Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool something they couldn't manage on Sunday afternoon during the Capital One Cup final. Jurgen Klopp's men carved Manchester City open, although Manuel Pellegrini's side were visibly less motivated than at Wembley.

As far as Liverpool fans are concerned, Pizzuti Henry's tweet sums things up:

Meanwhile, former Liverpool defender and pundit Jim Beglin took to social media explaining why Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling was booed at Anfield while James Milner wasn't by City fans:

Results like Wednesday's will be such a huge boost to Reds fans when it comes to assessing their future under Klopp. For Man City, the problem is that there's no one accountable for lacklustre performances in the Premier League. Pellegrini has just won a trophy and is leaving at the end of the season - who can really tell him or his players to try harder with them really having to listen?
