The former Tottenham chairman took to social media during Crystal Palace's 1-0 win over the north London side.
And Sugar feels the fact Spurs pay some of Adebayor's wages illustrates the 'mad world' of football.
Quite amazing the mad world of football Adebayor playing against Spurs for Palace and Spurs still paying part of his wages— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) February 21, 2016
A follower later pointed out to Lord Sugar that Adebayor was in the same situation when once playing for Tottenham against Manchester City.
@Lord_Sugar did the same when he played for Spurs against City and City were still paying part of his wage— Lee Wellens (@leemcfcwellens) February 21, 2016
Adebayor wasn't necessarily influential for Crystal Palace on Sunday but the team as a whole did themselves proud.
For Tottenham, an FA Cup exit perhaps makes it easier for them to fight on two other fronts - the Europa and Premier League.
However, every team would love FA Cup glory - and Crystal Palace's special bond with the competition continues.
