West Ham react on Twitter to Lawrenson prediction... but fans aren't happy

The BBC pundit has backed West Ham to beat Blackburn in the FA Cup.

West Ham United have reacted with disbelief on Twitter after Mark Lawrenson predicted a Hammers win against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup this weekend.

And the east London club took to social media with what they believed to be a humorous picture of James Tomkins looking rather shocked.

However, many West Ham fans have responded urging the club to delete the post - as they aren't too impressed!

Indeed, the Lawrenson theme seems to have gone full circle with West Ham. The BBC pundit seemed to always back against the Hammers but, once he was exposed to scrutiny, Lawro duly started to back the Upton Park outfit a little more.

As such, could the joke be wearing thin? West Ham's social media team clearly don't think so - but a few of their followers appear to!

West Ham travel to Blackburn for their fifth-round tie at 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
