Lovenkrands and Roberts react on Twitter after Rangers' dramatic win over Kilmarnock

Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-1 in the Scottish Cup on Tuesday night.

Rangers advanced into the next round of the Scottish Cup with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Kilmarnock on Tuesday night.

The Gers had drawn the first game between the two sides 0-0 at Ibrox, meaning the tie had to go to a replay at Rugby Park.

Mark Warburton's men took the lead through an early Martyn Waghorn penalty, before Rory McKenzie hit back with an equaliser for Killie.

With time ticking towards the end of the game, Rangers snatched a dramatic victory, with striker Nicky Clark swooping from close range to hammer home from a corner kick, sending around 7,000 travelling Rangers fans into pandemonium.

It was a big victory for Rangers, beating a Scottish Premiership team as they look to return to the top flight, and some of the club's former players took to Twitter to celebrate.

Former Gers defender Graham Roberts acknowledged a great result, whilst ex-winger Peter Lovenkrands congratulated striker Clark on his dramatic winning goal.
