Sam Byram has told West Ham United’s official site that it has been brilliant to move to Upton Park.
Byram switched to West Ham from Leeds United in the January transfer window, and he has taken no time to settle into life in London.
The 22-year-old says that the Hammers’ squad have a great team-spirit, and that has helped him make the transition.
“The fans were great and you could hear them all game, while the set of lads we’ve got is brilliant, and the spirit and the togetherness in the group have been brilliant to come into,” the right-back said.
“You can see the togetherness and the results we achieved against Liverpool and Norwich showed the fight that we do have.”
Byram has made three appearances for West Ham already, and he has made a good first impression.
The youngster may not have played in the Premier League before, but he has taken no time to settle into his role.
The right-back made his debut against Manchester City, and has gone in to impress in matches against Southampton and Norwich City.
Despite his impressive start, Byram is yet to win in a West Ham shirt, and he will not be able to improve this record at the weekend, as he is ineligible to play in Slaven Bilic’s side's FA Cup tie against Blackburn Rovers.
