HITC Sport understands Northern Ireland star set for new deal.

Northern Ireland striker Liam Boyce has agreed a new deal at Scottish Premiership side Ross County, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Ross County have moved to ward off growing interest in Boyce by tying him down a new contract.

Boyce has scored 17 goals so far this season, despite missing four weeks of action with a fractured arm.

A number of clubs have been flocking to Dingwall to cast an eye over the former Cliftonville man and his suitors were weighing up moves for Boyce during last month’s transfer window

Boyce, who joined Ross County from Cliftonville in the summer of 2014, was in the final 18 months of his contract at Victoria Park and Ross County have extended his deal by a further year.

News of Boyce’s new deal will come as a massive boost to Ross County ahead of their clash with Hearts on Wednesday evening.

The 24-year-old forward is expected to feature in Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland squad in the Euro 2016 finals in France this summer.
