Paul Merson makes a bold prediction about Leicester

Leicester City will take on Manchester City and Arsenal in their next two Premier League games.

Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has predicted in The Daily Star that Leicester City will win the Premier League title this season if they pick up maximum points from their next two games.

Leicester will take on Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the league on Saturday afternoon.

Claudio Ranieri’s side will then face Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London next weekend.

Merson believes that if the Foxes win these two matches, then they will go on to clinch the Premier League title.

“If Leicester win the league we’ll be talking about it forever – and if they win their next two games they’ll be champions,” the former England international wrote in The Daily Star.

“Beat Manchester City and Arsenal and they would have to really throw it away to end up missing out on the title.”

Leicester are three points clear of second-placed City at the top of the Premier League table at the moment.

Six points from their next two games will certainly place Claudio Ranieri’s side in a very good position, but the league title will not be decided.

Although the Foxes have been one of the most consistent teams in the Premier League, there is still a long way to go this season.
