Club round-up: Albrighton on Aston Villa's biggest problem, N'Zogbia will cost £1.3m

Some of the latest news stories surrounding Aston Villa.

Marc Albrighton believes Aston Villa's biggest problem is a 'bit of arrogance,' according to the Daily Mirror.

Indeed, Villa look set for relegation this season and the Leicester City winger, who they released, believes arrogance is what has cost them most.

The 26-year-old wants the Midlands club to address their standout flaw but knows it's up to them and no one else.

Since leaving Villa, Albrighton has shone at Leicester and the Foxes currently sit top of the Premier League table.

Albrighton is quoted as saying by the Mirror: "I don’t think it’s right that a club as big as that could be playing in the Championship.

"It just goes to show that you are never too big to go down and a bit of arrogance has probably cost them. I think that’s something that needs to be addressed but that’s down to them."

Meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph report that outcast Charles N'Zogbia will cost Aston Villa the sum of £1.3 million between now and the end of the season when his contract expires.

The Telegraph suggest that Villa tried to offload the wide man in January - on loan to AEK Athens.

But a move failed to materialise and N'Zogbia's lavish wage will therefore set Aston Villa back a further seven-figure sum.

The Midlands side host Norwich City in the Premier League later today.
