Confirmed Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley lineups: McGeady on the bench, Nuhiu starts

Here is how Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley will line up this evening...

Sheffield Wednesday can move just two points behind Burnley with a victory at Hillsborough this evening.

The Owls have won five of their last seven Championship games, and will be keen to push back up into the play-off places after a draw with Reading last time out.

Carlos Carvalhal has named a strong side this evening for the visit of Burnley, with ex-Clarets winger Ross Wallace facing his former club from the start.

Other key names like Gary Hooper, Atdhe Nuhiu and Fernando Forestieri all start in an attacking line-up, whilst new signing Aiden McGeady is on the bench after signing from Everton on deadline day.

Meanwhile, Burnley's deadline day signing James Tarkowski isn't involved after arriving from Brentford, meaning Ben Mee and Michael Keane continue in the heart of defence.

The dangerous front two of Andre Gray and Sam Vokes continue this evening, and will be supplied by the likes of George Boyd and Joey Barton in a strong side, whilst Paul Robinson, Matthew Taylor and Michael Kightly offer Premier League experience from the substitutes bench.

Sean Dyche's men sit third after four wins in the last five games, and can move just one point behind second placed Middlesbrough with a victory tonight.
