HITC Sport understands the Wolves winger is set to stay despite interest.

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Rajiv van La Parra will not be leaving the club before the transfer window closes, HITC Sport understands.

Van La Parra has been the subject of serious interest from Huddersfield Town, but Wolves have rejected several bids from their Championship rivals for the Dutchman.

Van La Parra has been in and out of the Wolves side this season and has only recently returned to the club after a successful loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 24-year-old scored two goals in six appearances for Championship promotion hopefuls Brighton and since his return to Molineux Van La Parra has started the last four games.

The Dutchman has now worked his way back into the plans of Wolves boss Kenny Jackett and the club are unwilling to sell him before the transfer window closes tonight.

A number of clubs have been keeping tabs on van La Parra’s situation, but it was Huddersfield who had firmed up their interest in the winger.

The news is a major blow for Huddersfield as they had made the skilful attacker one of their top targets as they looked to add to their squad before the transfer deadline.
