The 18-year-old has been attracting the attention of several Premier League sides in the past, reports claim.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in a potential move for Newcastle’s goalkeeping prospect Freddie Woodman, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.

The 18-year-old – who has yet to appear for the Magpies’ first-team – is yet to sign a new contract at St James’ Park, which has seemingly caught the Reds’ attention (via Newcastle Chronicle).

The Chronicle reports that Woodman’s father currently works for Crystal Palace alongside Alan Pardew – who was Newcastle manager when the youngster left the Eagles for Tyneside in 2013 – and thus, they are also keeping an eye on the stopper, while fellow Premier League sides Tottenham and Southampton have been linked with a potential move in the past.

Although Woodman is yet to make an appearance for Steve McClaren’s side, he has got some first-team football under his belt this season, having spent much of the first half of the campaign at League Two side Crawley.

The England under-19 international made 12 appearances for the club, keeping four clean sheets, before being recalled due to injuries sustained by Tim Krul and Karl Darlow (via Chronicle),.
