The Hungarian stopper is struggling to get first-team football in Spain.

A work permit issue has prevented Aston Villa from getting hold of their goalkeeper target for the month as Lovre Kalinic will be remaining in Croatia.

It leaves Villa in a predicament regarding the goalkeeping department.

Brad Guzan has been struggling and whilst Mark Bunn is an able deputy but not someone to rely on as a regular. Jed Steer is with Huddersfield Town for the rest of the season so Villa now need to look elsewhere if they want a new keeper.

Could Getafe stopper Balazs Megyeri be the answer they are looking for?

Roy Keane and the growing links to Celtic

Here is why it makes sense.

The Hungarian international is currently in a real battle to take the number one spot for his nation for the upcoming European Championships in France. In fact, he is battling to even get a call-up such is the competition in the Hungary ranks.

However, since his summer move from Olympiakos to Getafe he has struggled to play first-team football. In fact, he is yet to make his La Liga debut for the club – featuring just twice in the Copa Del Rey.

But he is an undoubtedly talented stopper who is wasted on the bench behind current number one Vicente Guaita.

If Villa could convince Getafe to move on the 25-year-old then he might finally get a chance to show Hungary what he can do and book himself a seat on the plane to France this summer.
