Spanish football expert responds to James Rodriguez and Isco speculation

James Rodriguez has been linked with Manchester United, while Arsenal reportedly want his Real Madrid teammate Isco.

Well-known Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has claimed on social networking site Twitter that neither James Rodriguez nor Isco will move to the Premier League in the January transfer window.

According to The Express, Manchester United are interested in signing 24-year-old Rodriguez from Real Madrid, while The Independent recently claimed of Arsenal’s interested in 23-year-old Isco.

However, Balague, who works for Sky Sports and AS, has claimed that neither midfielder will leave Madrid in the January transfer window.

Rodriguez joined Madrid from AS Monaco in the summer of 2014 and is one of the most talented players in Europe.

The Colombia international attacking midfielder scored 13 goals and created 77 chances in 29 La Liga appearances last season.

So far this campaign, the former FC Porto star has scored three goals and created 35 chances in 12 league games.

Isco has been on the books of Madrid since 2013 and is a very talented attacking midfielder.

The 23-year-old Spain international has scored one goal and created 28 chances in 16 La Liga games for Los Blancos so far this season.
