Michael Owen reacts to Leicester win, comments on Manchester United performance

Leicester City won 3-0 against Stoke City, while Manchester United lost 1-0 to Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has suggested on Sportlobster.com that Leicester City will not win the Premier League title this season.

Owen was impressed with Leicester’s 3-0 victory over Stoke City at the King Power Stadium in the league on Saturday afternoon, but the former Manchester United striker does not see the Foxes going all the way.

The ex-England international had also given his take on United’s performance on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils went down 1-0 to Southampton at Old Trafford, thanks to a goal from Charlie Austin in the 87th minute.

"Another unbelievable result for Leicester," Owen has written on Sportlobster.com. "Where is this fairytale going to end? Surely not by lifting The Premier League trophy in May? I hope they do but still can't see it."

Leicester are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 47 points from 23 matches. The Foxes are three points clear of Manchester City and Arsenal, who are currently second and third respectively.

Meanwhile, United currently find themselves fifth in the standings wth 37 points from 23 games. Louis van Gaal’s side are five points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently fourth and occupy the final Champions League spot.
