Rodney Marsh and QPR fans react on Twitter to Charlie Austin's winner

The Southampton striker netted the winner during his side's 1-0 win at Manchester United.

It was inevitable, wasn't it?

Charlie Austin was always going to come on for Southampton and score the winning goal against Manchester United just a week after completing a January move from Queens Park Rangers.

And former QPR forward Rodney Marsh was left unimpressed. Not by Austin in any way - but by the fact the R's let the 26-year-old go for so little.

While it was great news for Southampton, Marsh sees it as the worst piece of business in 20 years for QPR.

Some supporters, meanwhile, are similarly sceptical that Austin was injured while at Loftus Road but suddenly found fitness soon after joining the Saints.

But most of the R's faithful simply seemed delighted for their former striker. It's not every day you score the winner at Old Trafford and plenty of QPR fans loved the occasion. Needless to say, one or two Southampton fans might have been jumping for joy, too...

Here's how the QPR supporters reacted on Twitter to Austin's inevitable winner for the South Coast club...
