Darragh MacAnthony shares text message from Conor Washington after QPR move

Conor Washington left Peterborough United for Queens Park Rangers earlier this week.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has revealed on social networking site Twitter the text message that Conor Washington sent him after his move to Queens Park Rangers.

Earlier this month, Washington joined QPR from Peterborough on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The text message shows just how much Washington, a 23-year-old striker, is delighted that MacAnthony did not create any problem in his move to QPR.

It also suggests just that the Peterborough chairman is good at showing confidence and support to talented, young players at the club.

Washington scored 33 goals in his 94 appearances for League One side Posh, 15 of which came this season.

The former St Ives Town striker will be a replacement for Charlie Austin, who has left QPR for Premier League club Southampton.

Rangers are 15th in the Championship table at the moment with 34 points from 27 matches, 11 points behind Sheffield Wednesday, who are currently sixth and occupy the final playoff spot.
