Report: Queens Park Rangers want Wycombe Wanderers' Aaron Pierre

Queens Park Rangers, Fulham and Brentford are all said to be interested in Wycombe Wanderers' Aaron Pierre.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Queens Park Rangers are tracking Wycombe Wanderers defender Aaron Pierre.

Fleetwood Town have already had a bid rejected for Pierre in the transfer window, and the Cod Army could now be set to miss out, with a trio of Championship sides after him.

Pierre has been tracked by QPR all season, with Fulham and Brentford also reportedly keen.

The centre back looks one of the finest talents in League Two, and he has been a key part of Wycombe’s defence.

Gareth Ainsworth’s side are keen to keep hold of Pierre, but they do not have the financial power to hold off Championship clubs, should big offers be made.

QPR have already shown a willingness to recruit from the lower leagues, after snapping up Conor Washington from Peterborough United.

And it seems that Pierre could be the next player on their wishlist, as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink looks to reshape his squad at Loftus Road.
