Two goals from five shots: Roberto Firmino shines for Liverpool

The Brazilian was in fine form in the 3-3 draw with Arsenal.

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino had arguably his best game for the Reds in their 3-3 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

In a thrilling encounter between both sides, defensive solidity was thrown out the window as both teams went in search of goals.

Roberto Firmino was one of those to benefit, as he managed to bag himself two goals on the evening to twice put his side into the lead in the game.

The Brazilian enjoyed another fine display in a big game, with him also having put in top performances against Chelsea and Manchester City previously.

And as seen by the table provided by Opta stats, he was a constant danger to the Gunners backline throughout the 90 minutes.

Aside from his two goals, Firmino posted six shots, two attempted assists, two take ons, and just three unsuccessful touches from 66.

Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp, will now be hoping Firmino can put in similar performances on a consistent basis in future.

The forward has struggled to adapt to the Premier League since joining from Hoffenheim in the summer, but has shown flashes of quality in several big games this season.

With the Reds struggling for goals this season, he has the chance to impress in a forward role, and Klopp will be hoping that is the case in the second half of the campaign.
