Leeds United are looking to strengthen their team in the January transfer window.
Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has confirmed on Twitter that Leeds United have made enquiries about some of his players, ahead of the January transfer window.
Manager Steve Evans is keen to improve Leeds’ squad, and it seems that they have their eye on some of Posh’s stars.
Evans has a close affinity to Peterborough and also has a good relationship with MacAnthony.
It seems that the 53-year-old has had a close eye on Posh’s progress and their attacking quality has seemingly caught his eye.
Peterborough are the top scorers in the Football League, and Evans has gone on record to state that he is hoping to improved his side’s threat in forward situations.
Leeds have lacked a clinical striker this season, and their midfielders have not chipped in with too many goals.
Leeds, therefore, have scored just 26 times in their 25 Championship matches to date.
Posh, meanwhile, have struck on 52 occasions, and Evans evidently feels that some of their players are capable of making the step up to playing at Elland Road. But with many other clubs said to be enquiring themselves, it remains to be seen what the future holds.
