Report: Sirigu and Mandanda not interested in Aston Villa move, Ruffier new option

Ligue 1 seems to be the destination for a new keeper at Villa Park.

Aston Villa are being linked with plenty of new faces for the January market. One position they are said to be keen to add is a new goalkeeper.

Brad Guzan has struggled for his best form this season and his first-team spot is under threat. With that in mind Villa have been linked with plenty of new stoppers, with a focus on the French market.

Villa have snapped up plenty of talent from the French system in recent times and now they have been linked with a stopper or two from Ligue 1.

However two of their top targets, Salvatore Sirigu and Steven Mandanda are not interested - according to a report in France today.

Buzz Sports state that both the PSG and Marseille stopper's are not keen on joining bottom club Villa.

The same report then suggests the club have moved on to Saint-Etienne stopper Stephane Ruffier.

The French international has been linked with moves to the Premier League in the past and now Villa are the team said to be keen on his signature.
