Don Hutchison reacts on Twitter to Philippe Coutinho's performance v West Ham

The former Liverpool midfielder was understandably disappointed with the Brazilian's display against West Ham.

Don Hutchison was displeased with Philippe Coutinho's performance down the left-hand side for Liverpool against West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham beat Liverpool 2-0 at Upton Park and Coutinho produced yet another anonymous display. The Brazilian's tendency to disappear is becoming too much of a problem on Merseyside...

Blame can certainly be aimed at Jurgen Klopp, who didn't need to play the Brazilian out wide.

But it is the Liverpool players who need to take responsibility. Yes, many of them shouldn't be at Anfield and the fault lies with those who bought them. A lack of quality, however, doesn't justify a lack of effort.

Klopp accused his team of only giving 90 per cent against West Ham yet, in truth, that was a generous number...

The Reds need big changes in the January transfer market and next summer. For once, they have a man at the helm who might actually know a thing or two about buying good players. Enough is enough, a lot of this Liverpool team just aren't good enough. And they're playing like they know it.
