Report claims Salvatore Sirigu has made his Aston Villa feelings clear

The Italian has no desire to head to Villa Park.

Aston Villa are being linked with a move for a new goalkeeper in the winter as the club's current custodian Brad Guzan continues to struggle with form.

The American has been inconsistent for most of the season and Villa fans are hoping to see a new face at the club this winter.

One name that has been mentioned is Italian international Salvatore Sirigu. He has been replaced by German talent Kevin Trapp at Paris Saint-Germain and is desperate for first-team football.

Although, apparently not Villa desperate.

It is reported by French media RMC that Villa are indeed keen on Sirigu but he is not keen on them. He has no desire to get caught up in a relegation battle and has informed his representatives that Aston Villa interest should not be considered.

Sirigu however is being foolish. He would play every game for Villa and have plenty of opportunity to catch the eye, considering the way Villa leak chances.

He wants regular football ahead of the European Championships in France next summer but if he really was serious about that claim, Villa would be an ideal destination.
