Report: Everton and Derby County chase Reading striker Nick Blackman

Everton and Derby County have seemingly been impressed by Nick Blackman's goalscoring form for Reading.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Reading attacker Nick Blackman is a transfer target for both Derby County and Everton.

Blackman has struck 10 times in the Championship this season, despite not always playing as the main striker in Reading’s team.

The 26-year-old has been deployed in an attacking midfield role on occasion, but it has not stopped him shooting up to third in the Championship’s scoring charts.

Reading are understandably keen to keep hold of the front man, who they have had to be patient with, but with interest mounting it could be a struggle.

Everton already have a number of forward options, but with Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas potentially heading for the exit door, according to the Mail, they may need to recruit some more attacking options.

Derby, meanwhile, are keen to strengthen their promotion push and they feel that adding Blackman’s goals to their team could get them over the line.
