Former Arsenal forward Charlie Nicholas explained on the Gillette Soccer Special show on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday afternoon (December 28) how Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane’s attitude is different from his teammate Dele Alli.
Kane and Alli are two of the best young players in the Premier League and have been superb for Tottenham so far this season.
Nicholas, who played for Celtic and Aberdeen as well as for Arsenal, is a fan of the 22-year-old striker and the 19-year-old midfielder, but he seems to prefer the attitude of Kane.
“Just recently Dele Alli has been playing ever so well,” said the former Scotland international on the Gillette Soccer Special show on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday afternoon (December 28).
“But all of a sudden he is getting into little scraps and getting agitated with people, but Kane never does that.”
Kane enjoyed a breakthrough season at Tottenham in 2014-15 and has carried that form into this campaign.
The 22-year-old scored 21 goals and created 27 chances in 34 Premier League appearances for Spurs last season.
So far this term, the England international has scored 11 goals and created 21 chances in 19 league matches.
Alli joined Tottenham from Milton Keynes Dons in February 2015, but he remained with Karl Robinson’s side for the remainder of the 2014-15 season on a loan deal.
The midfielder is playing for the Spurs first team already this season and is arguably the best teenage footballer in the Premier League at the moment.
The 19-year-old has scored four goals and created 20 chances in 17 league games for the North London outfit so far this campaign.
Alli has a pass accuracy of 77% and a shot accuracy of 63%, and has won 16 headers, 14 dribbles and 31 tackles.
