Shaka Hislop gives his verdict on Karl Darlow’s league debut for Newcastle

Karl Darlow featured for Newcastle United against West Bromwich Albion away from home in the Premier League today.

Shaka Hislop has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his verdict on Karl Darlow’s performance for Newcastle United against West Bromwich Albion today.

Darlow made his Premier League debut for the Magpies, as he started the game against West Brom away from home at The Hawthorns.

Former Newcastle goalkeeper Hislop was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of the 25-year-old.

Darlow made as many as six saves for Newcastle, but he failed to prevent his side from losing the Premier League game 1-0.

The goalkeeper joined the Magpies from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2014, but he remained on loan at the Championship outfit for the entirety of last season.

The defeat to West Brom was Newcastle’s second in a row in the Premier League and keeps them in the bottom three.

Steve McClaren’s side will return to action on January 2 when they take on Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League.
