HITC Sport understands League Two strugglers have sacked manager Wayne Burnett.
League Two basement side Dagenham & Redbridge have axed manager Wayne Burnett after a poor run of form.
Dagenham slipped to the bottom of the table after Saturday's 3-0 defeat at home to Bristol Rovers and are facing a major battle to avoid relegation from Football League.
The Daggers have won just two of their 22 games in League Two this season and the defeat to Bristol Rovers has been the final straw for the club's board as they have decided to look for a new manager to try and turn around their fortunes.
Burnett has been in charge of the Daggers since February 2013 and he led the side to safety that season.
He guided the club to a ninth place finish in the 2013/14 season and last term they secured another mid-table finish.
Burnett was rewarded with a new two-year deal in April, but he has been unable to repeat the earlier success he enjoyed at the club this season.
Former Dagenham boss John Still is thought to be in the frame for a return to Victoria Road as he is currently out of work following his departure from Luton Town last week.
