Report: Aston Villa battling European giants for France Under-17 international Moussa Haddad

The Nancy midfielder is also wanted by Porto and AC Milan.

Aston Villa are currently struggling for form in the Premier League and it is likely that the club will make moves in January to improve the squad.

Most of those moves will be aiming to improve the first-team as soon as possible.

Of course the club will continue to think long-term as well. With that in mind it looks as though the club are looking into the signature of Moussa Haddad.

Foot Mercato are reporting that Aston Villa are battling with Porto and AC Milan for the teenager, who is currently with AS Nancy.

A French Under-17 international the teenager will be well known to manager Remi Garde, who has worked extensively both as a coach and pundit in his French homeland.

Haddad is not likely to be a signing that could keep Villa up in the Premier League this season. However he would be an excellent talent to bring into the club for the future - whether that be in the Premier League or the Championship.
