Peter Reid reacts on Twitter to Lukaku goal, Higginbotham raves about Deulofeu

Everton drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday night.

Peter Reid was impressed with Everton's football on Monday night as they drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace at Goodison Park.

And the Toffees did produce some truly sublime stuff during the build-up to much of their play in the final third.

Indeed, Reid took to Twitter after Romelu Lukaku equalised late on - with Scott Dann having opened the scoring for Crystal Palace.

In truth, though, Everton should have been ahead and had chances to net far more than the solitary goal they did. Their build-up play, as Reid put it, was 'brilliant.'

Also reacting to the goal on social media, meanwhile, was Lukaku's relieved younger brother Jordan.

Meanwhile, former defender and current pundit Danny Higginbotham heaped praise on 21-year-old Everton forward Gerard Deulofeu, who once again provided the assist for Lukaku's goal against Palace:

Deulofeu's creativity is certainly right up there, while he skilfully combines with Lukaku on a regular basis.

Often, though, the Spaniard lacked end product v Palace and you can't help but feel a couple of better decisions in the final third to back up his flair would've seen Everton to a comfortable victory against Alan Pardew's men.
