Rodney Marsh raves about Winston Reid's perfect performance for West Ham United

West Ham United picked up a 0-0 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford yesterday.

Rodney Marsh has hailed West Ham United defender Winston Reid’s performance against Manchester United.

The Hammers managed to pick up a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford yesterday, and Reid’s display in the fixture was highly impressive.

The New Zealand international was a rock for his side, as he kept United’s attackers at bay time after time, and Marsh believed it was the perfect defensive showing.

Reid blocked United shots on countless occasions during the fixture, and he almost capped his wonderful showing with a goal.

The 27-year-old ventured forward for a set-piece, but his header rebounded off the crossbar and away to safety.

West Ham will still be satisfied with the point that they collected against United though, which extends their fine away record.

The Hammers have already beaten the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool on their travels.

West Ham’s draw against United has moved them into sixth place in the Premier League table.
