Cellino reacts after reportedly telling Steve Evans to change tactics v QPR

The Leeds owner seems to have taken matters into his own hands against Queens Park Rangers.

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino went into the dressing room at half-time against QPR and told head coach Steve Evans to change his tactics, according to the Daily Mirror.

Their report suggests the Italian told Evans to change from a 4-4-2 to a diamond formation while he was speaking to his players during the break.

And, when asked about the incident, Cellino more or less admitted he spoke with his manager.

Indeed, the Mirror quote Cellino as responding to their question with the following comments: "Didn’t work anyway. We lost the game."

That would hardly count as a denial from the Italian, of course, and suggests he is every bit as involved in trying to run the first team as many have in the past suspected.

Boss Evans, however, will have known what he signed up for when he came to Leeds. The Scot has previously criticised - and been criticised by - Cellino in the press.

It's intriguing to imagine how Evans would have reacted, though, to his chairman coming into the dressing room and telling him how to manage his team. Especially while he was addressing his own players...
