Didi Hamann compares Tottenham's Harry Kane to Teddy Sheringham

The former Liverpool player has been very impressed with the Tottenham Hotspur striker.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have now no doubt recovered from the excitement of defeating West Ham United 4-1 on Sunday, but it is worth noting what a former player had to say about two-goal hero Harry Kane.

Ex-Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann was watching the weekend clash and he was quick to praise the England striker after he made it seven goals in his last four league games and nine goals for the season.

Writing on Twitter, Hamann said, “Love watching Harry Kane. He’s a proper player. Reminds me of Teddy Sheringham, great touch, vision and can finish. Always one step ahead.”

That is quite the comparison but Kane certainly looks ready to become a superstar for both Tottenham and England.

Sheringham played 236 times for Tottenham in total, taking in two spells at the club and scoring 98 goals in the process.

Kane looks like netting plenty more than that by the time he is done but he will not be getting ahead of himself.

Whatever happens, Kane has emphatically proved he is so much more than a one-season wonder and he could ultimately fire Tottenham to sustained success in the years ahead.
