Celtic's Dedryck Boyata explains what Bhoys can expect from Ajax

The Celtic player has been looking ahead to the club's next match.

Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata has been speaking to the Daily Mail as his side prepares to take on Ajax in the Europa League next week.

Ronny Deila’s side are currently bottom of Group A with just two points from a possible 12 while Norwegian club Molde are running away with things, securing 10 points to date.

Celtic lost their double-header against Molde recently and they must now secure their first win of the group stage if they are to maintain a chance of reaching the knockout stages.

Suggesting that he did not expect the Dutch club to sit back and soak up pressure next week, the Celtic defender said, “Ajax is a team that likes to play football.

“If we break against a team who comes against us then there is more space and maybe we create more chances.”

Celtic are just one point behind Ajax so a victory will go a long way to giving them hope of not ending their European campaign at the group stage.

But after Celtic could only draw 0-0 with Kilmarnock on Saturday Deila’s men will have to up their game if they are to overcome an Ajax side that is top of the Eredivisie and with hopes of their own of joining Molde in the next stage of the Europa League.
