Daniel Agger was keeping a close eye on former club Liverpool as the Reds thrashed Manchester City 4-1 on Saturday evening.
And it was hard not to notice the eye-catching display for football fans around the world. There was an obstacle, of course, in that El Clasico was on at the exact same time. Barcelona beat Real Madrid 4-0, perhaps stealing the limelight from Jurgen Klopp and co.
But it was still one of the biggest results of the football season as Liverpool left the Etihad Stadium with all three points.
Former defender Agger was delighted, posting the above tweet after the victory.
And Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson also took to Twitter with a short message after the Manchester City triumph.
Meanwhile, injured duo Danny Ings and Joe Gomez tweeted with simple messages, too. The pair will be delighted their club are getting on so well without them - and that they could be returning to a team in very good form next summer.
Klopp is looking like the real deal so far and the next step for the Liverpool boss will be to find the right formula during home games at Anfield. For Manchester City, Saturday was simply one to forget.
