Rangers have stability now, says Alloa Athletic forward Michael Chopra

Rangers’ performances this season in the Scottish Championship appear to have impressed Alloa Athletic forward Michael Chopra.

Alloa Athletic forward Michael Chopra has told The Daily Record that Scottish Championship rivals Rangers now have stability.

The former Newcastle United, Cardiff City and Sunderland man has also claimed that the current Rangers squad is the best he has seen in a long time.

“This is the best Rangers team I’ve seen in a long time and they now boast something they haven’t been able to claim for a few years – stability,” Chopra told The Daily Record.

Rangers have been superb so far this season and are on course to winning the Scottish Championship title.

If the Gers achieve that feat, then they will be guaranteed automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership for the 2016-17 campaign.

Hibernian will provide a challenge to Mark Warburton’s side, but Rangers have a better squad and appear more confident at the moment.

Rangers are one of the two biggest clubs of Scotland and regularly get over 40,000 fans for their home matches even in the Scottish Championship.

The Gers getting promoted back to the top flight is only going to be good for Scottish football.
