Angelo Ogbonna sends message to Gianluigi Buffon on Twitter

West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna seems to be a big fan of his former Juventus teammate Gianluigi Buffon.

West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate Gianluigi Buffon on his 20th anniversary as a professional footballer.

On this day 20 years ago, Buffon made his senior debut for Parma against AC Milan in Serie A.

The Italy international goalkeeper was crucial in Parma holding Milan to a goalless draw at the Tardini Stadium.

Buffon, then 17, played in goal only because of the injury suffered by Luca Bucci.

The Italian twice came off his line to deny Roberto Baggio and George Weah, and then made a wonderful close-range save from substitute Marco Simone.

Ogbonna, who played with Buffon for two years at Juventus from 2013 to 2015, has taken to Twitter to congratulate the Italy international on an exceptional career.

Ogbonna joined Premier League side West Ham from Italian giants Juventus in the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old Italy international centre-back has featured in six league games for the Hammers so far this season.
